This is our village ❤️ This week we meet the lovely Lucy Neary from @theearlyyearsdietitian who knows all about early years nutrition. Meet Lucy ‘Hi, I am Lucy; a paediatric dietitian specialising in early years nutrition. I am on a mission to eliminate outdated and widespread feeding myths and to turn the next generation into enthusiastic eaters with a healthy relationship with their food.
Tandem feeding is completely 100% normal and no mother ever should be shamed for breastfeeding both her kids at the same time. ✔️ Tandem feeding helps siblings bond over the thing that they will always agree on: boobs are awesome ✔️ It massively helps the eldest child feel included and continue with what was normal before the new baby arrived. ✔️ It helps you stop from getting engorged ans helps with milk supply. Many times I got my eldest help me drain the engorged boob! ✔️ It’s absolutely wonderful and your breastfeeding choices concerns you and you only! ✔️ Finally 🖕 anybody who criticises you, it’s none of their business, 🖕 the W.E.I.R.D society we live in (Google this, fascinating stuff!), and 🖕 the jealous ones. Love from Mel, natural term breastfeeding mother for almost 7 years, tandem breastfeeding for 3.5 years ❤️
