We offer different types of babywearing workshops to suit your needs

Workshops are group classes dedicated to a particular topic, type of sling or carry. If you prefer a 1-0-1 consultation, please contact us to book a sling library or private consultation.

Newborn Workshops

In this workshop, you will learn all about the benefits of babywearing, safety, how to dress your baby in the sling, pros and cons of different types of slings, feeding in slings and get to try on lots of different types of slings with support. It’s a lovely way to connect with your baby, learn new skills and meet other parents!

Sling-Specific Workshops

These workshops are designed for a specific type of sling and for you to learn different techniques to front, hip or back carry with it (e.g., back carrying with a woven wrap or buckle carrier, introduction to stretchy wraps, back carrying with a buckle carrier).

Next up: Stretchy Wrap Workshop

Come along to our workshop and learn how to tie a stretchy wrap in 2 different ways and how to feed in the wrap (skill!!).In this workshop, I’ll talk about differences between different brands of wraps, show you how to tie the wrap in 2 different ways and talk about pros and cons and I’ll also show you how to breast/bottle feed using the wrap as an aid.

Suitability: The workshop is suitable for parents with newborns up to 2 months old (roughly!) as well as expectant parents so they can get ready for their baby’s arrival.

When: Tuesday 14th of December 10am to 11.30am (roughly!)

Where: Wrap a Hug HQ in Bethnal Green (directions will be sent upon booking)

How much: £10 per person (£15 for a parenting couple) and this includes 1 stretchy wrap hire for 1 month. The hire is renewable after that for £5/month if you want to keep going.You’re very welcome to come with your own wrap!

Babywearing Awareness for Professionals Workshops

This workshop is aimed at perinatal and early years professionals who work closely with parents in a support role (e.g., doulas, health visitors, midwives etc…) and want to gain more awareness of how slings can support new parents. We go over safety and what to look out for, different types of slings and benefits. This workshop is not designed for you to learn how to teach parents how to tie slings, but for you to gain awareness.
