I run free sling demos, clinics, babywearing information sessions, parents meet-ups, support groups events and occasional workshops (fee applies) over east London several times a month. I run regular sessions and one-offs. All events are advertised and up to date on my Facebook page (if Facebook isn’t your thing, just message me!). These events are a great place to socialise with other parents, get some information about slings in a relaxed, informal setting. Depending on timings and how busy the session is, you might be able to try 1-2 slings on. You can hire a sling on the day (fees apply). I will always do my best to support you. If you want to ensure 1-0-1 time, best is to book a slot at the Bethnal Green sling library if we don’t have enough time during the event. Please get in touch ahead of the event if you need specific help or if you have any questions. NB: for safety reasons, back carries are not shown in these events.

Monthly Hackney sling clinic and cloth nappy demo with Hackney Real Nappies Network, Hackney Central library

We have joined forces with the Hackney Real Nappies Network to offer you the ultimate cloth nappies and sling session!

Once a month, we meet at Hackney Central library where Esther and Joy from Nappy Ever After will tell you everything you need to know about cloth nappies. Their friendly and informal demo is for anyone who is interested to learn more about reusable nappies, whether you are an expectant parent or you are already using nappies. All welcome!

The talk will start at 10am and last approx. 40 mins and will cover:
-the different kinds of reusable nappies
-the newborn stage
-washing guidance
-other local nappy initiatives.
-troubleshooting.
Hackney parents can claim their FREE £70 reusable nappy voucher.

Nappy Ever After will tell you about their fantastic laundry service and shop.

Following that, I will offer a sling clinic whereby you can come for a fit check with your OWN sling. Here’s how I can help:
– Show you how to do a front, hip or facing out carry (I do not show back carries to beginners unless you have already tried and need a bit of troubleshooting)
– Explain safety and positioning
– Check if your sling fits you and your baby well and suggest adjustments if needed
– Show how to feed in your sling
– Answer your questions or address your worries
You must come with your own for this sling clinic or if you want to try 1-2 particular slings, we can arrange that but we need to decide on which sling you want to try out before the sling clinic as it’s a short session. If you want to try lots other slings, you will need to book an appt at the Bethnal Green sling library instead.
Fit checks are 10mins per person, no more, so I can help everybody 🙂
You might be paired up with other people if you all need to same kind of support.
If I can’t improve the fit of your sling or we find that it isn’t safe, I will suggest booking an appt at the Bethnal Green sling library.
Please contact me ahead of the clinic so I know that you are coming and what sling you have/want to try out.
The sling clinic is free, but you are very welcome to make a donation to the sling library via my ‘Buy Me a Coffee’ link . Hires on the day are possible, fees apply.

From 11am approx: the sling clinic will start just after the cloth nappy demo around 11am. Please arrive by 11.30am, if nobody has arrived by then, I will leave.

Next dates: 2024: September 13th, October 11th, November 15th, December 13th. 2025: January 10th, February 14th, March 14th, April 25th, May 16th, June 13th and July 11th.

Clapton ling information session/sling fit check at the Hackney Real Nappies Give and Take, Round Chapel E5

Come along to the Hackney Real Nappy Network meet ‘Give and Take’ session at the Round Chapel in Clapton, Old school rooms, to pick up some free use cloth nappies and baby items, get some nappy advice and enjoy the lovely vibe! You can also get your vouchers to buy cloth nappies from Hackney council (Hackney residents only, pls go to https://www.hackneyrealnappy.net/ for info).

I will be there to offer you free fit checks/showing you how to use your own sling and chat all things babywearing.
I will have a few slings with me if you fancy trying some on.
Please note that this is not a sling library session and I can’t offer long 1-0-1 consultations as the session is short and usually quite busy. If you would like more time, please book a slot at the Bethnal Green sling library 
I don’t show back carries with woven wraps during this session.

Tower Hamlets Family meet-up at Poplar Union, Poplar E14

Every first Thursday of the month (except August) we meet at Poplar Union 10.30am-1pm for a morning of chats, professional support from various perinatal and early years professionals and providers and great coffee! This is a support group and meet-up for new expectant parents. Bumps, babies and toddlers welcome (though this is not a playgroup). I will be there with my slings to offer free advice, demos, troubleshooting and you can try a couple of slings on and hire on the day. Free ticket booking is encouraged. Click here to book.
