I run *free* sling demos and babywearing information sessions events over east London several times a month. I run regular sessions and one-offs. All events are advertised and up to date on my Facebook page (if Facebook isn’t your thing, just message me!). These events are a great place to socialise with other parents, get some information about slings in a relaxed, informal setting, without booking a consultation and come with your sling for troubleshooting. Depending on timings and how busy the session is, you might be able to try 1-2 slings on. You can hire a sling on the day (fees apply). I will always do my best to support you. If you want to ensure 1-0-1 time, best is to book a consultation or we can book one if we don’t have enough time during the event. Please get in touch ahead of the event if you need specific help or if you have any questions. NB: for safety reasons, back carries are not shown in these events.
We have joined forces with the Hackney Real Nappies Network to offer you the ultimate cloth nappies and sling information session morning! Once a month, we meet at the Fixagon cafe where Esther and Nappy Ever After will tell you everything you need to know about cloth nappies. Their friendly and informal demo is for anyone who is interested to learn more about reusable nappies, whether you are an expectant parent or you are already using nappies. All welcome!
The talk will last approx. 40 mins and will cover:
-the different kinds of reusable nappies
-the newborn stage
-other local nappy initiatives.
Hackney parents can claim their FREE £54 reusable nappy voucher.
Nappy Ever After will be joining us with a pop up shop where you can buy and/or sign up to the laundry service.Following that, I will offer a free newborn sling demo where I’ll:
– Show different sling options for newborns/small babies
– Explain safety and positioning
– Demo slings and explain how they work
– Show how to feed in the slings
– Answer your questions.
Where possible, after that, for those interested, you can try on a couple of slings. Please be aware that if the session is very busy you may not be able to try on a lot of slings for safety reasons as I will not be able to assist everyone. The demo is aimed at expectant or new parents of newborns/small babies and aim to inform you about slings. The sessions run monthly during term-time only: 11/02, 11/03, 29/04, 20/05, 17/06 and 15/07 2022 at the Fixagon cafe, Penn street N1 5FP

Babywearing Awareness for Perinatal Professionals, April 1st 2022, 10am, Bethnal Green HQ E2
This workshop is aimed at perinatal and early years professionals who work closely with parents in a support role (e.g., doulas, health visitors, midwives etc…) and want to gain more awareness of how slings can support new parents.
In this workshop, we will cover:
-Safety and what to look out for
– Differences between types of slings with pros and cons
– Feeding in the slings
– Benefits for families
This workshop is not designed for you to learn how to teach parents how to use slings, but for you to gain awareness and a better understanding of babywearing.
If you would like to organise a workshop with colleagues/other professionals on a different date, please get in touch, I’m very happy to accommodate!
The workshop is held at my place in Bethnal Green (full address to be provided upon booking for privacy), on April 1st, 10am-1pm.
There is a ‘pay what you want’ fee, you can choose to pay what you’d like after the workshop (or pay nothing!). My aim is to help educate other professionals and share knowledge.
